This and That
Since entering the third trimester (eep!) I had a mini-panic attack with the realization that my days of working on our to-do list around the house are numbered, especially since we'll be busy with family events over the next two months, at which point I will be 9 months along and likely not very mobile. Not that we haven't had a bit on our plate this month already, but we've managed to squeeze as much as possible into our free time since my last post, and this is what my amazing wombat and I have accomplished:
New patio, with new potted trees from dad and Sally - a great early birthday present!:
New paint and curtains in the dining/living room:
New Fire Pit:
New curtains and decor in the BugBat's room:
New outdoor fixtures:
Can't forget the new firewood from the tree and giant branch we lost in last week's storm:
HUZZAH! <-- one of Wombat's favorite happy words.
Random Pregnancy Notes to Self:
- I'm tired of hormonally-induced dreams that make me feel as if I experienced a crazy acid trip all night long. Not a fun side effect. Last night's dreams involved ticks, drool, and repeat showering. Why?! Maybe it IS an acid trip from all the heartburn I also experience every night. Blech.
- BugBat/WomBug either likes it or does not like it when I shift from an upright position to supine - she either celebrates by doing a little dance, or she protests by doing a couple backflips and kicking me in the bladder for good measure. I'd like to think it's the former, but I guess I'll never know.
- Less than 87 days to go, wow! Baby is now more than two pounds and 14 inches long. I'm still amazed at what is happening inside me, and the bigger I/she grows, the more I want to see her and hold her!
- My husband is really good at working hard, including with my dad, and on my dad's "never-procrastinate-a-project" timeline haha.
- The guilt of nearly passing out at work several times (including in the middle of a client consultation) is killing me :( My doctor says it is normal, but now I'm scared to even drive! I wish there was a better explanation and/or remedy, since it takes me more than an hour to recover each time.
Que sera, sera!
